What is Alcantara®
There is only one Alcantara®. It has been made since 1972 by a single Italian factory in Nera Montoro, using its own process that no one else is permitted to use.
It's used where the material matters most — in the interiors of Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini, on private yachts, in first-class cabins.
Now inside your bag too.

Founder
One woman, one needle
Denisa founded Popona in 2019 and still leads its design and production today.
Today, an experienced seamstress sews alongside her.
Atelier pieces, however, remain entirely in the founder's hands, from the first stitch to the last detail.

What is Alcantara®?
An Italian material used in the interiors of Ferraris, on yachts, and in first-class cabins. Made by a single factory in the world. We use it to make inserts for luxury handbags.
How long does it take to make an insert?
Each piece is hand-sewn to order after your purchase. You'll receive an exact timeline once your order is confirmed.
How is the insert colour chosen?
Tone on tone, or contrast — depending on whether you want the insert to blend in or stand out. We're happy to advise based on your bag's colour.
When does the collection launch?
The collection will launch in a limited number of pieces. People on the waitlist get access first.
